[Dx4win] Connecting FT-2000 to v8.02?

2009-10-15 Thread Paul B. Peters
Even with (what I think are) all the correct settings, I don't seem to be able to get V8.02 to recognize my FT-2000. I am using a straight through DB9 to DB9 cable and I know the cable and computer port are okay because N1MM reads the radio just fine. When I open the Database, Radio test window

I thought you might like to know what the fix was that allowed me to successfully connect my FT-2000 to DX4WIN v8.02. In addition to the list members that responded to my query, I also received help from Paul - the DX4WIN author. The fix (for me) boiled down to turning ON the DTR and RTS options

[Dx4win] RTTY control panel opens each time I start v8.02 - solved

2009-10-18 Thread Paul B. Peters
I think I have solved the mystery -- and must admit I feel somewhat embarrassed about the solution. In a previous configuration, I must have opened the MMTTY window and at that time the monitors were one above the other. In the current configuration, the monitors are side-by-side. I reset the mon

[Dx4win] RX and TX frequency not appearing in Notes field?

Even with $$ in the >Text to add to QSO note< in the screen I don't seem to be able to have v8.02 of the program post both the RX/TX frequencies to the Notes field like it did in previous versions. Am I missing something. I am using an FT-2000 in split mode when I expect the RX/TX to be posted. I

[Dx4win] Telnet issues

2003-09-17 Thread Paul B. Peters, VE7AVV
Being disconnected from a given cluster (regardless of connection type) is a common-place occurrence with DX4WIN. The reason is, it has no built in auto-reconnect routine. Plain and simple. I have asked the authors for this feature in a series of emails and the last answer suggested they would loo

[Dx4win] PCI-type LPT ports for CW keying?

I just added a Lava PCI-based LPT port for CW keying. After selecting the correct LPT port and saving my Preferences I find the PCI port will not key the radio. My thanks to Larry and Mel for responding to my query. I neglected to mention that I was using Win'98 (SE).
