I thought you might like to know what the fix was that allowed me to
successfully connect my FT-2000 to DX4WIN v8.02. In addition to the list
members that responded to my query, I also received help from Paul - the
DX4WIN author.
The fix (for me) boiled down to turning ON the DTR and RTS options
My thanks to everyone that has replied on this issue; it's now working
great.

Even with (what I think are) all the correct settings, I don't seem to be
able to get V8.02 to recognize my FT-2000. I am using a straight through DB9
to DB9 cable and I know the cable and computer port are okay because N1MM
reads the radio just fine.
