A new user of DX4Win, W8TE, is trying to get his new CI-V cable [the popular
one from eBay] working properly with the latest rev of DX4Win. His 7800 is
firmware rev v210, and he's running the CI-V setting at 4800 baud with the

A new user of DX4Win
Tell him to try turning off Transceive mode in the ICOM (it's
somewhere in one of the radio menus). This mode causes the
transceiver to babble every time the dial is turned. It can cause
problems similar to what he is seeing.
