Peter, what you propose *could* be made to work if DX4WIN isn't reading the frequency directly from the radio (via the serial port). However, I don't see how it can be made to work if DX4WIN *is* reading the frequency from the radio. It has to pick the one most likely to be used to log a QSO.

My suggestion for the packet spotting is to make it user selectable for each catagory. Make is so you checkmark which priorities you are interested in the preferences rather than selecting one type of priority, some priorities, or all priorities. Hope that makes sense.
