stopped using SAS and I've switched to R. I don't think you can get
either to calculate delta AIC but that's just AICmodel - AICmin correct?

Have you checked out R? It is an open source program that does just
about everything SAS does if not more.
You can dowload it and get documentation from http://www.r-project.org/
I've switched to R from SAS. It hasn't been easy but so far it has been
worth it.
