By a psychological test, I mean a test that attempts to probe
applicants' "personality". It actually consists of several tests that
may include drawing tests.
Any idea which field uses such tests? Thanks in advance for any pointer.

Similarly, if they haven't published their work, how can they claim

If you want to create pseudo random numbers from a discrete probability
distribution with your specified probabilities, you can try the Randlib
library (in C or Fortran). You can also do so using software packages
like S-Plus or R. The URL for Randlib is listed at
http://www.fortran2000.
As a simple preliminary analysis, you can try Levene's test
(with sample median, http://www.recursive-partitioning.com/hov)
to compare the groups. For a more thorough analysis, a
random/mixed effect modeling is a possibility. I'd suggest that
you consult with your local statistician.

You can get GSview, a free viewer for Windows. However, your printer needs to
understand PostScript if you want to print it. A better format is PDF.

procedures are you using? SAS has so many statistical procedures. You
can understand most of the outputs if you understand the statistical theory of
the procedures. Go to SAS website (www.sas.com) and order the books there.
