Hello,
if I understand you and Julien correctly the best aproach would be:
write a wrapper PVideoOutputDevice_ekiga that registers with OPAL (in
GMManager::GMManager()) and
may switch between multiple PVideoOutputDevices dynamically? (right now that
would be GDK/SDL and
XV)
However this requir

Thank you Damien for your reply.
No problem, I'll wait.

Hi,
dont worry I am also interested in a working windows port... As I mentioned I
would also like to
put DirectX into ekiga... The XV code is active ONLY on linux AND when the
respective libraries
are found, in every other case the original GDK/SDL code is compiled.

Hi,
The software used by Ekiga.net is SERWEB that you can find at
http://www.iptel.org/serweb/
The workload to develop Ekiga, maintain ekiga.net, maintain ekiga.org,
maintain the documentation and the FAQ is incredibly high.
I personally do not have enough spare time anymore to do this correctly
Sorry to get back on this email but I'm still not sure on what the
things are.
I'd like to compile the latest cvs ekiga tarballs.
I've got them (pwlib, opal and ekiga) from http://snapshots.ekiga.net/cvs/
Pwlib and opal are ok but compiling ekiga failed. It seem they are not
at the same developm
Hi, sure, SDL can provide hardware overlay with the following constraints:
- only available when run as root
- only DGA driver (framebuffer in console mode)
- acceleration only available at fullscreen
- tries to switch to a resolution close to the overlay resolutio

OOps - I mean 20060905 - installed with Synaptic on my Kanotix machine - the
text had been copy/pasted from the dialog box that pops up. My

Beware not to break our win32 port : gdk and SDL work on win32 -- I
highly doubt XV is.
