output connector to ground (pin 4) and you should see the LED turn on. A
short at this point will not damage the IC - because it is an open collector

you should be quite able to use the oscillator shown in the K2 manual - the
lowest expected voltage indicated in the manual is 0.27 Vrms at the 2nd
Crystal Filter Output and that is 756 millivolts peak to peak.

I have the new HexKey and a Schurr Profi-2. Both are real nice. I think
the HexKey have a similar feel but maybe is a little smoother. I wouldn't
turn either one down.
