Thanks for your advice in the past. I used K2 in the CQ WW SSb contest.

George,
The 1/8 inch refers to the lead length above the board, not the overall
height of the capacitors. A small bit of pressure will put them at less
than 1/8 inch of lead sticking above the board.

I think this has come up before, but I can't find an answer in the archives.
KSB2 manual, page 6 says: "The leads on small capacitors do not need to be

find that if I don"t straighten them, they stick up about 3/16" or

The nylon hardware keeps the toroid from moving mechanically and keeps the
frequency stable. It should be a simple matter to just add the hardware to
keep it stable. There should be no major change when adding the hardware.

Now this method is a bit convoluted, but you could put extra long leads on
an ohm meter that will measure low ohms. Start at the feedpoint with one
lead, and experimentally tap onto the antenna where you think the 55 foot
point is. If you have found the center, you will have the resistance of

Just remember also that the OP1 filter for SSB receive is also used on

A mic preamp. You can buy some pretty serviceable mixing boards for
very little money. Plug your mic into a cheap Behringer UB502 or UB802

I think there is another way to look at this. N1MM Logger is the
center point of what you do in the contest. You should make changes
in N1MM Logger, and have it change the radio instead of doing the

Hi Mark:
I'm no expert on N1MM logger but I have used it with the K2. I just
tried it using v6.10.10, but I know this has worked before with earlier
versions. When you use both VFO A and VFO B, you need to have 2 data
