John,
You need to change the sidetone source in the menu.
Enter the menu for ST L, edit the parameter, then tap the DISPLAY button
until you hear sidetone.

The reset gave you the wrong source for the sidetone. It's selected in the
MENU.
MENU -> St L -> MENU (to enable the sidetone level set), then tap DISPLAY.
It'll toggle between the two sidetone sources, U6-25 and U8-4. Since you
don't have sidetone now, one tap should restore it.

I recently had a glitch with the ATU going out of "Auto" mode but
before I figured it out, I hard reset my K2.
I have since gone back and recal'd PLL and filter settings and

I now do not get a CW sidetone on transmit. Adjustments to St L and

Same thing here, with or without an external amp. CW is as expected. But
when switching to SSB I will get full output (sometimes well over 100 watts)

Mike, I notice the opposite (but when running full power: 100-110W).
The first couple of syllables are lower, and then it kicks up. I'll try
reducing power and see if it goes in the other direction.
I was told that the previous effect was normal (action of the ALC).

I've heard that the QCWA (Quarter Century Wireless Ass'n) has,

at least localize one to a particular time period, if not an

If you find a better answer, please post it for us.

One other point to sanity check -- have you put the DSP in "bypass" and
