in the rear of the chassis under heavy
SSB modulation. It sounds like
transformer or frame slightly loose,
nothing appears loose or un-done.
Noticed when using the M1 audio
record - playback, so normally don't

At it turned out, the 3.3K resister in the swr circuit went also.
I should have ohmed out all of the circuit when I replaced the diodes.

I no longer do all that manual updating from the errata. All I do is make

Have you considered looking at the manual, Allan? Without opening up my
K2 I would RTFM.

No problem - those are via holes to carry the signal line from one side
of the board to the other. In the particular case of those two holes,
they connect the DB-9 pin 9 to R1.

would be well served with an LP-Pan (and you're going to need the XVRTR
interface for that one too).

Last I heard I think Elecraft will even sell new boards at near cost if
you want to follow the upgrade path. That is if you're willing to send
back the previous board. They may even do that if you screw up an
upgrade with a soldering iron but if you're not confident then meh... no
