Hi there, I'm wondering if I could find someone that's currently using
the KDVR3 with N1MM - I have a few questions I'd like to bounce off
you, and it can be off-list, or on-list. Specifically, how seamless is
the integration with N1MM and what are the known issues (if any)?
Thanks,

It appears to have something for almost everybody but it still
takes a couple of seconds to kick in. And if the signal goes away (on
CW - don't know about SSB) it changes. Then the signal comes back and
it changes. At least it did the couple times I tried it.

NR has plenty of choices. For CW I found the usual F1-2 or so is fine.

Wes,
The capability operates within limits - it cannot be infinite.
However, the K3 (K2 as well) uses a control loop for power output
control. It senses the output power and adjusts the RF drive to
compensate for differences in the power requested and the actual.
In SSB (and data modes) it oper

Doug,
Do not use the power output as an indication for mic drive on data modes
(PSK31 for example).
The proper indicator is the "ALC" bargraph - adjust the audio input for
4 bars with an occasional flicker of the 5th bar.
At that level, it is not an indication of ALC action nor compression.

Hi Everyone,
After reading literally dozens of postings on the 'problems' with NR in
Beta 3.27, I have seen only 2 responses about NR in Beta 3.30 since its
release.
Not being one to jump into beta versions too fast myself, I ask:
1. How's the new NR doing in 3.30
2. Is the extended bass respo

I had a thought about your comments on the preamp. Being that many

Thanks for the interesting reply Lyle,
I am mostly interested in operating on HF. QRM is not such an issue on HF as
the signal to noise is so much worse. I know what you mean about minimizing
the gain before the selectivity but at VHF one has a low noise floor to work
with so that does not really

Yes the latter was what I was wondering too - and even if you could use the
2nd RX to determine the metrics for the DSP in the main RX. For example,
centre the sub RX on the unwanted signal, or use a wide filter on the sub RX
to get sample the splatter. Model this to generate an invers
I know this is not possible right now. But, is there any way one can use the

arranged to not pump the AGC? For unknown reasons in contests the weak DX
stations always like to call within a few kHz of the strongest station on
