My MH2 microphone (front panel) just started producing a 60Hz hum when I
press the PTT. It has worked fine for 4 months (K3 #4974). The hum is on my
transmitted signal. I happened to turn on VOX with FP.L

microphone connector to either shell or ground (pin 8) the radio goes into
transmit with NO hum. Similarly if I short Mic Audio (pin 1) to shell or

did the transmit switching via its built-in vox, similar to Skip Teller's
scheme. But I still used Mixw, which is just as cool with the K2 as it is
