Pat,
If you were aware enough to "not install" the missing capacitor at the
C2x location, then you can move on to the following tests except for
anything related to 160 meters. OTOH, if you hsd one of the C3x
locations blank, you will have to wait until Elecraft ships you a

I went through everything with a "fine tooth comb" and this cap was not in the
parts bag, nor had it worked itself out of the bag and into the general box.
It is also a rather large cap as disc caps go so not as easy to hide in

I believe the CW in SSB feature is "fixed" with no effort on the part of

Do not attempt to use it if you have QRQ mode turned on - it will not work.

There are other limitations to QRQ mode, but for operating convenience,

Key the K3 and use Key Out to key the Titan III. Ten-Tec amplifier keying
loops are very idiosyncratic and tend to work only with Ten-Tec radios.

Hi,
I wanted to follow up on this problem.
In response to my original post (below) a number of people responded that they
were not seeing the behavior I described. After some more experimentation I

Hello Group;
I am considering a KPA 100 for my K2. I am especially interested in putting it

Ok, I'm a step further now. I did the manual calibration as described in
the manual. Now the automatic one only fails on 50 MHz. I'm now going to
check with the miniVNA if the dummy load is indeed 50 ohm at 50 MHz,

Even if the scope has a 1 Mohm input, it has considerable capacitance,
so yes, you need a 10X probe.

The toroid is wound with big wire, which overlaps. This creates the

This is similar to how I connect the K3 with KAT3. Port ANT-2 goes to
my antenna switch and port ANT-1 goes to my dummy load. When the K3 is
powered down, it is in the ANT-1 position, so I get a measure of

The KX3 has a single BNC antenna connector output for HF. The KX3-2m
transverter is to have a separate sma antenna connector. In both
cases it appears that one will need an interface between the KX3 and
a transverter.
IN the case of a transverter (like the KX3) using a 28-MHz IF, I
