Actually it does not matter. No adapter is included with the K3 or KX3. The KX3 will include a mic plug you can wire yourself. It is a 3.5mm 4 conductor plug. There is a menu item to enable or disable the up/dn button signals provided by the MH3 mic. I connected a standard 3 conductor
