adjusted to a moderate level, but had a noise burst. The system
(radio/external speaker) was silenced. I unplugged the HOME speaker,
and the audio was OK

A year or two ago I obtained a K3 subrx definition file SKIMMER.
Clicking calls on the bandmap or call list and sends VFO B there.
It only works if you have a subrx and are tapping the subrx IF. (I
think) I don't know what will happen if you are in "split" w/o a subrx
using VFOA IF output.

This can help provide the same S-Meter reading regardless of preamp or

The Chill Pill speakers are one handy choice for portable use with the KX3.
They are very small and light, convenient to pack, self powered, and sound
very good. Currently, they are shown at $33.50, so are not the cheapest,
