Don, W3FPR posted the information after my sig a couple weeks ago. I used it myself to remote a KPA/KAT100 into an EC2. I didn't save all the header info for the post, but it shouldn't be too hard to find it in the archives. You didn't say whether you are including the KAT100 in the enclosure.

I just finished building the K3 with the sub receiver. All went well until I fired up the rig and found that I was not getting a signal in the sub receiver.. I had white noise but no signal. I checked all the wiring that went from the main board to the sub receiver and all was in place and tight.

Hi Hank, That is a standard problem with RS232 ports when they have not been powered up before the K3. One solution is to go into your CW WGHT menu and tap the 4 key to select VOX AUTOOFF. This takes the K3 out of VOX mode when you turn the K3 off so when you turn it on again it can't be keyed,
