Thinking about changing mics. If you have an excess Elecraft mic let
me know the details if you would. Please contact me direct.

Thanks for all the info, guys. I'll look into these before my next big

If you've got either of these for sale please send details to include options,
serial number, condition, both physical an electrical and most importantly the
price shipped and insured to zip 45324. I prefer to pay by Paypal if possible.
I have a nice K2/10 (4xxx) that is loaded with most option
I did a master reset (by mistake) and think I have everything back to normal
(didn't have a config back up) except that when I use the 500 and 250 filters I
lose the signal, but hear an attenuated noise. I added a couple of dB gain to
the filters but that doesn't help.
Any ideas?
John
The LiFePO4 batteries have to be external. They don't fit inside and are
completely different voltages and charge characteristics. They should have
a balancing charger, many external universal RC chargers do that. I've
posted links in the past to some chargers.

This is the first time I've read about LiFePo4 batteries; is it correct to
say that one needs to pair a 3.2V AA LiFePo4 with a "dummy" AA? Does the
timed charger module in a KX3 play nicely with this type of battery?

I use LiFePo4 batteries. 4s will go from 14 to 12V from 0 to 90% discharge.
Perfect match for KX3 with full power all the way. No voltage reduction or
noisy DC-DC converter needed. Search the Elecraft lists archives for mine
and other posts with sources.

How are you keying the amp?
Key Out is a hardware output driven from the +7R line - see the
schematics on-line - there is nothing in that output that is mode
dependent.

Can anyone think of a setting I would have misconfigured such that
my K3 won't key my amp in RTTY mode? Worked all along and keys it fine
on SSB and CW. Tried it this AM and only getting the rig output power
(about 50-60 watts) and the amp doesn't go into transmit (ACOM-1000.)
In fact, I can work
I have a 222 transverter and I think it has a Receive issue, can someone
here on the list take a look at it and repair it?
Looking for someone on East Coast.
Thanks

I use an ANKER Astro3 10AH "battery charger" from Amazon.com and elsewhere.
Be sure you look at the one with a switchable 9volt-12volt output. It's
designed to recharge phones and pads, but puts out 12.2 volts nicely. Comes
with a plethora of adapters.

I use a 4S2P 5200mah LiPo battery with my KX3. It lets me run 10 watts for a
long time. I use the simple reducer in the “Articles” section of my website
(www.ad5x.com) and just remove it when convenient when the KX3-monitored
receive battery voltage drops below 14V. You can expand on this by
