At 12m the output power gets reduced to 5W
even without this message.
This happens with ATU tuned to a SWR of 1/1.2

I am assembling my KPA500, and am to the point of installing the RF Power
Amplifier/Low Pass Filter (PA/LPF) Module. I notice when handling the
module, if I gently rock it back and forth, I hear a small clicking sound from
somewhere in the module..
I have inspected the module, and do
Good Morning,
The weather has limited my Internet access over the past day. Heavy
rain and clouds between me and the tower makes it tough for the packets
to pass forth and back. Even during the heavy weather the elk hunters

meter behavior during SSB operation. The internal SWR bar
I've become aware of two customers whose carrying cases
have been damaged by rodents. Both cases have holes
chewed by mice ... or rats ... and one has additional urine
and feces damage.
I suggest if there's the slightest chance rodents can gain
access to your case that you provide a mouse-proof
Finished a brand new KX1 this afternoon, with ATU and 3080 module.
Power output with 13VDC for all bands is as follows:
80 6.3 watts
40 1.7
30 4.0
20 3.0
Clearly something is amiss with 40 meters. I read somewhere to mess with
the green windings of L2 on the 3080 module, but that didn't
On my K3, I used to set each band to AFSK A once, and when returning to
that band it would automatically revert back to AFSK A. However,
something changed, as now each time I change bands the Mode is in the FSK D
mode.
Can someone tell me how I can get my K3 to remember to stay in the
