I'm not sure I "solved" it, but here's how I got the flashing TX to stop.
Again, this is with a K3S, fw 5.50. Nothing attached to the rear panel,
especially the ACC connector. LCD TX was constantly flashing.
Went into Config: TX Inh, which was set to Inh=LO. set Inh=Off. Flashing TX
stopped,
I have seen activity on frequencies just above the net frequency
of 14,303.5, so ESSB might interfere with those people. Given
how hard it is to pull some net stations out of the noise, most
stations are probably using rather narrow receive bandwidths, so
a full spectrum signal will be cut off
I'm getting an always-flashing TX on the LCD about 3 seconds after I power up
our K3S; I'm running firmware 5.50 (though it was happening with 5.38). There
are no "PTT ERR" or "KEY ERR" messages displayed on power up.
The ONLY connections on the rear panel are Antenna and Power -- Nothing plugg
Is it OK to use ESSB on the net?
Thanks,

Louis,
FWIW I like my K3 noisy, almost so it sounds like there is no AGC action,
just enough to protect my ears from an unexpected loud signal. I've found
that this makes it easiest to copy extremely weak CW signals that are below
the noise, and prevents static pops from covering up the signal. T
Louis,
I am not one to give you specific settings for you to just plug in and
use. If I did so, I would just tell you to use the default settings.
Every location and operating style is different, and you can enhance the
AGC performance to meet your particular situation.

Hello Group,
I am having a problem that I have not seen before. I have a KX3 connected
to a KPXA100. When I tune my yagi, I get 1.2 to 1 SWR when I press the tune
button on 10-15--20. The rig shows that the SWR does not change during CW
transmissions. When running 100W, the LED indicator o
Used one for years. Never had a problem. The encoder is not THAT
fragile. The extra weight is very pleasant to have.

Dragan,
Does the K3 still respond to microphone input as it did before?
If the answer is YES, then I would suspect the soundcard is the source
of your problem.

Be aware that if you ship the radio, you will want to remove the heavy
knobs...
If the radio is man handled, the the moment of inertia, (for lack of a
better term), can get quite high when the package is dropped, and break
the encoder shaft.
