Good Evening,
Another foggy, wet, chilly day. Perfect to watch 'The Thin Man Goes
Home'. Somewhere around reel three the power glitched for about twenty
seconds. This takes down two switches, the router, the satellite
connection, the servers, plus the computer in front of me. Normally
Hi Guys,
I had a similar situation at my QTH in SE Lower Michigan with Spectrum. Their
tech came inside to install a new telephone modem and found high SWR on their
line to/from/within my house. The tech replaced all the crimp-on coax
connectors and the problem cleared up. He told me the
No experience with that antenna. However, among your other indoor
antennas you might want to try a 'cobweb'. I have one in the attic. It's
fairly compact; covers five bands 10-20. A while back it worked VP6D on
all five bands; 100 watts CW. I built the G3TXQ version. MFJ also has a
model for
Actually, it's not the W2 Utility. It's the Elecraft W2 Interface
Program. http://w4smt.com/sight.net/W2/W2_WIN.zip

Just checked out your QTH. You have LOTS of room for more efficient
antennas than that baby loop...for way less too.
Hey...you could even put a vertical on your truck and use that (nice
truck!). They can't get you for an antenna on your vehicle.
You have trees, you have gutters, you have

I have a Baby Loop here in England when I am M0SNA.
I’m happy with it but not sure I would buy that style again.
Pros
Amazingly well built
Worked first time yesterday after 20 months of non use (you know, that COVID
thing….)
Quiet
Marginally directional
Great for FT8 or ragchewing
There’s an adjustment that can be done in the W2 software, not the utility, but
it just fine tunes what’s displayed by the computer, not the unit itself.
The software, IMO, could use a bit of modernization. Really wish it could be
open-sourced.

Thank you for your suggestion!! I must be looking at the wrong
software, I have the W2 utility, and it has nothing like that in it. In
fact it looks like all it does is update firmware, and test macros... I
see no settings of any kind for the W2...

My new home QTH is an a neighborhood where I am affected by the
covenants and restrictions to no outside antennas.
Not to be defeated, I am planning some attic antennas...
Towards that end, has anyone any experience with the Ciro Mazzoni Loop Baby?
If so, how have you interfaced it to
I don't own one of these, but I think calibration is done with the W2
Utility, using the special USB cable that comes with the W2.

Hello,
Looking over the manual for the W2 I see no way to calibrate it. Did I
miss something, or is there a way to perform a calibration on the wattmeter?
