That makes a lot of sense, Dave.  Two PTT types active at the same time is something that never occurred to me.  Except there's no PTT cable from the SignaLink, as far as I can tell. But Greg AB7R suggested that I update WSJT-X, which seems to have fixed the problem.  I'm still puzzled as to why
