I'm curious about your pedestrian mobile statement. What do you do with the
13 foot counterpoise, does it drag behind you when walking? I doubt that you
can make a QSO without it. Also with the 13 foot counterpoise, what 20m
frequency is the AX1 resonant on?

The wire supplied with the AX1, AX2, and AXE1 is quite slippery and unlikely to
snag on anything. I've dragged it between cacti in the deserts of New Mexico;
across serpentine outcrops along the Pacific coast;
Has anyone used a Mac Mini with a K3 or K3s? How much RAM and how big an SSD?
I am especially interested in which logging program you use. I have been
looking at RumLogNG but am not set on it. How well has it been working?

I have an old Mini, not an M1. I've been using RumLogNG for years with no
problems. 512G SSD 16G RAM. Currently on Catalina. I do keep my log data
on a USB HD.
Use with K3 and KX3.
There is a FB group for RLNG.

I'm working with a piece of accessory equipment that relies on the "Key

The Elecraft radios play very well with Macintoshes. In fact, KPA500 code was

David,
I used a K3 up until about three months ago on my Mac Mini (intel-powered) with
no problems at all. The K3 was sold and now the Mini is connected to a K4D,
which also plays well on the platform. My Mini has 32GB on non-Apple Ram and
the hard drive (SSD) is 1TB. OS is Monterey 12.5.1

Can someone explain Elecraft's K4 order/shipping status please?
I don't understand what "K4 Group 3 orders have been emailed through 4/15/22"
means, exactly.
I ordered a k4 on July 31st but was never told what "group" I was in. Does
this mean I must be in Group 4 because I haven't been emailed
Jeff, it means that everyone who had ordered a K4 up through April 15 of this

Keep watch on that date. It changes as they build and ship more K4s. Since
you ordered in July, you have about 3 month’s worth of orders ah

Thanks Dave for the reply. That sounds like a great antenna and I’d definitely

I don't really have a good setup for making videos, but when I get the
chance I'll make one showing how I built it and how to set it up. Might
