Good Evening,
The fir trees have two to three inches of bright green new growth.
The ferns are between six and ten feet tall but not done unrolling. The
hummingbirds returned and brought friends. It is quite busy right now,
I have to duck when I walk out the door. They enjoy flying at
Hank,
To use the KXPA100 with the K2, you will have to install the K2 Keying
Output mod. This is not available from Elecraft, but boards are
available from FAR circuits. The KXPA100 will bandswitch when RF is
applied.
You might ask Dave W8FGU if he has any built up as kits d...@w8fgu.com.
Hank,
At this point the only options unavailable in addition to the KPA100 are
the K60XV 60M/Tranverter module and the KDSP2 Audio Filter module. The
KAT2 internal 20W ATU is still available as are all the other modules.
To key the KXPA100 amp (or any other external amp) you will need to add
Yes, the KXPA100 works FB with a K2/10, and gives you the built-in 100w ATU if
installed. You can also then hook up a larger amp on the other side of the
KXPA100 as well.
No brag, just fact.
I urge anyone thinking of building a K2 to get off the fence and order one now.
The K2 is a blast
I got this a couple days ago -
We don't have an ETA for the KXV3B boards yet. Eric is in the process of
updating a message now.
We hope to have that posted to the reflector and via a newsletter by about
mid-week next week.

Hey folks.
I want to try and tackle a more challenging kit build. I built my K3S back
in Oct 2018 and it was pretty easy. Same for my KX3 2 years later.
The K2 looks like more of a real kit with challenges! After seeing old
posts here, I can see there are certain items no longer available
I may have one, will advise later today.
I have several of K2 boards, etc.

Hi all,
I'm still looking for a KNB2 K2 Noise Blanker module, built or kit.
Anything out there?

My thinking was to restore from an earlier workspace then reinstall the
IC-7300 but I will take a look at the controls first. I don't remember
making any recent changes to to the control configuration.

Since you use DXLab I'd suggest checking Commander's "User-defined Controls"
configuration. Is there a slider for Mic gain? If so, is it configured to
"Initialize radio"?
In Commander click "Help" then select "sliders" for more info.

For those considering using the excellent dual output Leo Bodnar GPSDO, be
aware that you cannot select certain combinations of output frequencies.
I have the dual output unit and it can be set for 10 MHz on one socket and
1 MHz on the other, which was ideal to drive my old Racal counter at 1 MHz
