OK, so, I just got a KX3 and I think I am a bit spoiled by the K3 feature set
:-)
Is there a way to balance the audio between the two VFO’s when using Dual
Watch? I often have the problem that the DX is really weak and the pile up is
really loud.
On the K3 there is an audio mixer control which
Let me add another data point why a KPA800 makes sense:
I only have 120V in the shack, so I would like to see a solid state amp that
can do 800W with a built in power supply. That's probably the max you can get
out of that circuit 15A * 80% *120V = 1440W max continuos. At 50% efficiency

Chris,
how about a 1Meg OHM resistor between the center of the coax connector
and ground. That should bleed off the static, but not mess with the
impedance.

No abuse to the radio at all. The material appears to be too brittle.
Slightly torque the set screw and the knob will split. Eric already
said the composition has been changed to fix this, so there was a
problem.

Allan,
What's your address? I have some extra black rubber "lace" that you can put
under your K3. It made all the difference for me. This stuff is supposed to
go into the cupboard or into kitchen drawers.

My vote goes to the K1EL Winkeyer USB. Easy interfacing of computer and
paddles. Hitting the paddles during computer genrated keying will
immidiately stop the output and one can take over manually. Also has a speed
pot and 4 buttons on the box.

Has this been resolved? If yes, how?
I have the same problem right now. Tuning works, but xmit does not.
Neither the button not the paddle.
Help! I need to work K5P :-)

Have you set the filter offsets to the same value?

I have to agree with Doug
Roland,
There are two pieces you need:
BCD to individual band decoder:
http://www.unifiedmicro.com/decoder.html
And the voltage divider to generate the voltages per band:

I hope this helps,
