Plenty of QRN on the low bands especially in the summer. I meant the local
man-made stuff.

I am in agreement with all of the above about the narrow filter capabilities
of the K3 which I considered a given when I made my original post. I have
also considered the panadapter solution but that would complicate matters to
a degree. I probably live in a quieter radio environment than many ha
Dave,
Thank you very much for the prompt response and testing of this for me. Once
generally known, this ability to operate PSK31 in ESSB with click and
transmit across a 3.5 kHz waterfall would I think make the K3 even more
attractive to data mode operators than it already is. It would probably

keep getting the 232 error code. I have tried 7100.00 and several
frequencies between 7000.00 and 7100.00. I have the frequency counter probe
connected to TP1.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

This is a screen shot by KG3BOZ of my K2/100 running 50 watts on 40M PSK31.
It shows IMD -23. This is a distance of about 1400 miles from Mississippi to
Maryland at about 0100 UTC. My antenna is a Cobra Ultralite Senior up 20
feet. I tune
Don,
Thank you for your response. I read all of your posts.
I will do as you say. I can see that a center of 1000 Hz would be what I
need for use of the 2.2 KSB2 filter for transmitting.
By way of explanation I have been using the waterfall display on DM 780 to
set my filters as it seemed to ac
I am trying to align my 250 hz crystal filter with a 200 hz DSP filter in the
middle of the passband of my 2500 hz SSB filter for the purpose of
transmitting and receiving PSK-31 in the middle of the 2500 hz filter
bandpass.
I have succeeded in moving the crystal filter by changing the bfo settin

the SWR readings from the KAT100.

Andy,
I want to give you a follow-up. I built the KAT100 in less than three
evenings and it is a wonder to me in both its design and operation.
I built the BL1 in the 4:1 configuration. I get a 1.1:1 or less match on
all bands except 15 Meters which is about 1.5:1. I find that the balun
