I want to be able to do computer-generated CW on my K2, using software such as
DX4WIN and WriteLog. The circuit that works on my wife's Yaesu FT1000 MP Mark V
does not work on her Yaesu FT920, which makes me think it isn't going to work on
the K2, either, because both require a stereo plug. The cir

ancient K2 (S/N 678, Revision B, with software version 2.03d), can you
helpful folks tell me about any pitfalls to installing this unit?
Will I have to open up the rig and make any modifications? My K2 is working

To all who emailed me with adding my straight key to my K2:
Many thanks to you! Now I can use BOTH my straight key AND my paddles, and
can actually go back and forth to them without any menu changes on the K2.
Thanks to those who steered me to the K2 Manual page for CW OPERATION (CAPS

Hi Everybody,
I want to use my Bencher STRAIGHT KEY with my old Elecraft K2.
Can you folks tell me what I have to do?
My paddles work just great, but I wanted to try out my straight key. It has

TIA, and 73,
Carter

Hi Terry VA6MAC,
Welcome to the Elecraft community. I hope you enjoy your build as much as my
wife and I have. My K2 is my main rig, and I alternate between my K1 and my

Hi All,
I am cautiously saying I, too, will give it a try today as Bumblebee Nr.
133 on Mt. Misery, Valley Forge National Historical Park, in Penna. It's
drizzling right now, and very overcast, but I'll see what I'll do after
church this morning!
I hope to be on or near 7.043 and 14.053.

Hi Larry,
If the WX be OK, I will be Bee Nr. 133 on Mt. Misery, Valley Forge
National Historical Park. If it is rainy and looks like thunderstorms,
I will work the contest from home. This bee has his yellow stripe
running right down the middle of his back! Hi!
I hope to be using my KX1 at 2-3 w
