"Due to the odd way Elecraft chose to label the new K3s, I would request

simply K3s which implies a single radio."
Please. let us not fall into the improper use of the apostrophe
that is so common these days. One
One of K9YC's suggestions I took was to eliminate all unintentional cat 5
"antennas" in favor or wireless usb dongles.
I went with linsys AE1200s which were on sale cheap from an Amazon partner.
My only regret is that linksys, oddly,
does not have linux drivers for this dongle. If you don't plan
hello all and merry xmas!
For various reasons I need to interface an external device with Band Data
from my k3-100 via the ACC port. The cable I have is sending the correct
pin signals to the device, which expects Yaesu Band Data compatible
protocol. AFAIK and can verify on the web Elecraft 0123
Many of you already know this but for those of you like me, who are just
starting to go beyond a barefoot K3, know that ExpertLinears.com has been
selling and repairing SA Expert Amps for over 4 years. They are headed up
by Bob Hardie, K5UQ, a well-established, retired broadcast industry
I got great info including some actual measurements from W4BQF that jived
with mine, once I took corrective action by shortening the power lead and
eliminating the dual fuses. Findings:
- starting T/S by eliminating the simplest (and most notorious) suspect is
still a great idea

What would be a normal value on the FP voltage display when tx at 100W,

FWIW, I have greatly reduced RFI issues by using rs-232 serial cable
connections. I went with them because I have found USB cables seem to be
pipelines for computer hash to get into my rigs. I just got tired of
experimenting with ferrites every time I changed computers or connection
schemes. I
FYI here is a slide show of basic K3-100 kit assembly SN8760. I'm just now
calibrating but will add slides later as I open it up again and install
KPA3 100W internal amp. If you've never built one or opened yours up this
would be a good study to see how easy it is to get various panels off. Note
I found digest posts from early feb in gmail spam folder. Go there and

Help:
Since I was going to add the sub rcvr to my K3 SN 8760 kit (now building)
later this year,
it occurs to me I might want to expedite purchase of new or old.
RSVP off list if you have and old style sub ready to sell and we'll talk.
I will have to work out how that might affect warranty, though.
My brand new K3 kit came with a flyer warning not to use mono plug UNLESS
you disable the right channel amp. Otherwise it could be damaged.
You set SPKRS config entry to 1 to disable right channel amp.
I report, you decide.
