The new 5.66 firmware version is not a beta version.
Anyway, even if it is a standard new firmware, it is not available for
download with the Elecraft K3 Utility.
Is there any problem?

Why Elecraft doesnt produce a 700hz filter for cw ragchewing?
It doesnt need to be an 8pole Inrad, but can be a 5-6pole Elecraft, a 700hz
or a 600hz gaussian, even better.
It would be a very nice sounding cw filter for 15-40wpm chats on not too
disturbed bands.

It is a better thing to have a roofing filter, i wouldnt like to use only the
dsp with the 2700 ssb filter.
I have the 500hz 5 pole filter (and the 200hz 6 pole), but I find that
sometime I have a nicer audio tone with a wider filtering.
1000hz is too wide for me, sure it is good with rtty, but for
?
Many thanks.

urned, but now,
with last 5.67 version, I have no problem with Vibroplex or Intrepid.
The Intrepid anyway have a lot less bounces on dots contact than the
Vibroplex.
The K3S doesnt like very much contact bounces, anyway if you reduce them
there are not problems at all.

I have found that setting the config parameter PTT-KEY at OFF-RTS, the K3S
keyed by TR4W software returned to transmit with rf ouput and with sidetone.
I make the mistake of not taking note of the previous value, but setting
OFF-RTS seem to have solved.
Can it be that N1MM+ software changed this pa
to spkr 1.
At first I though that it was rfi, but rfi doesnt change config menu, after
I thought that it was reprogrammed when I opened WIN4K3Suite, but it happen
even without using this program.
I haven't understood why it happen.
Sorry.

I need an info, and this time I thought "why not ask to the Elecraft nr.1 top
tech?"
If it is possible.
On my Elecraft K3S, sn 10715, the if gain, or better the FLx GN, was setted
0 for FL1 (2700hz-5 pole),
4 for FL2 (500hz-5 pole) and 8 for FL3 (200hz-5 pole).
I read somewhere that it would be bet

of a KX2.
Are you sure that we dont want anymore a 400-500$ qrp rig as the KX1? The

I have understood that it is normal that P3 with his extremely narrow IF give
lower S-units that the K3/K3S, but is it possible to adjust the P3 to give
same S-meter readings than my K3S?
Is there any way to give coherent signals intensity both K3 and P3?
On My P3 I read S6 a CW signal that is S9 o

Elecraft USA the switch with the connected

The real problem seemed a part failure, but we had changed it after only
little more than two years of use.

I have seen that when you need receive very weak signals, signals improve a
lot with AGC THR set at 15 (usually for a more silent reception I use THR
7).

I had this problem a pair of years ago.
The same problem, exactly, that could be solved only changing the switch and
the annex internal cabling.
You should require it to Elecraft.
It need 20 minutes becouse the speaker must be largely disassembled for
changing this part.
