Jorge,
In short, no. As has been stated repeatedly lightning protection is the
responsibility of the owner, not the radio vendor.
Can we move on to other topics please?

Hi all! I’m looking for the KXUSB cable for the KAT500. It’s the one that’s USB
on one end and 3.5mm stereo on the other. Does anyone have a working cable for
sale please?
Thanks!

I can understand your frustrations. However I think your sentiment that “the
current situation needs to be addressed, either in Watsonville or otherwise”
doesn’t recognize current global business realities.
As background, I lived in Monterey, just down the road from Watsonville, for

The problem is not dynamic IP addresses changing. That’s easy to fix. It’s
CG-NAT (Carrier Grade Network Address Translation), which doesn’t give you an
external world addressable IP address. You can’t assign a DDNS name because you
don’t HAVE an IP address to map to. Many carriers
I’m sure you were trying to be funny, but that’s a racist statement and not at
all humorous. Poking fun at an accent isn’t acceptable.

There’s a functioning page there now, listing filters for the K3. I just
checked.

It’s on page 68 of the manual.
Remove nine screws holding the top cover. Do not remove the four screws holding
the speaker in place. Press the back center of the top to tilt it back and
remove it, carefully disconnecting the speaker wires.

I’m having a power issue on my K3 and I suspect it may be the 10W board. Can I
ask how you resolved the issue please?
Thanks!

I’ve had replies in two days and I’ve had replies in three weeks. It all
depends on how busy they are, who’s in and out of the shop, and how swamped
they are with emails.

Please don’t waste your time trying this. It’s truly not worth the time you’d
spend getting it installed.

Hi all!
I have a K3 (serial #00746) I got at auction as bagged parts in a cardboard
box. It’s got the four TMP cables required for the KRX3 subreceiver (which is
included) but it’s missing the three TMP cables that come with the original kit
(part #E100282). Before I go ordering them from
head at 3am though, so I have another avenue of
attack to try this afternoon.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I’ll post when I’ve tested my idea.

. I can solder a board just fine and assemble PCB’s but
I’m not overly comfortable with hardware debugging. Anyone have any ideas how I
should proceed? Do I just replace the regulator? Do some other debugging?
Thanks!
