[Elecraft] KX3 Tuning noise

2012-11-18 Thread Mike Clarke
Hi all, I've just had my new KX3 on air for the first time, but have been plagued by an extremely annoying noise when tuning. The noise is most obvious on 10 and 12m, but is audible down to at least 20; it sounds like a series of mushy clicks as I tune, and makes tuning quite unpleasant.

[Elecraft] KAT500 enclosure... blanks available?

The KAT500 enclosure should be just the perfect size for a project I have in mind (and of course, it would match the rest of the station. Yes, I know, pass the Kool-aid...) So, question for the Elecraft guys: are there any plans to make a 'blank' KAT500 enclosure available, similar to the EC2?

Hi George, Being terminally lazy, I too tired of reaching all the way over to the radio when I wanted to trigger the voice keyer! To solve the problem (as well as the more serious irritation of losing audio for a fraction of a second when I tap the PTT to cancel message playback) I've made a

In theory of course it can be done from any logging program that lets you send macros to the radio. All you need to do is emulate button presses, which is exactly what I do with the Arduino. I just prefer having a physical controller. -- Mike, VP8DMH On 23/Jan 08:50, Jim McDonald wrote:
