Yesterday I finished building a KX1 and it appeared to be working fine.This
is an older KX1 with 1.01 Firmware.
Today I built the ATU. However on first use with installed ATU I
encountered a problem.
After installing the ATU I turned on the KX1 and selcted ATU from the

Well, some days I'm dumber than others.
It was the keyer, not fully seated or had a bit of crud shorting it or ???
Unplugged it and now all is well. Checked out the keyer and it seems fine.
Plugged it back in still fine. I'm writing it off gremlins and/or
leprechauns.

I bought an un-built KX1 complete with autotuner, 30meter, and keyer. At
just over $350, I figure it was a good buy.
It is a bit sad to look at the original invoice, as the purchaser became a
SK before he had time to assemble the radio.
I have the requisite skills and equipment to build
