Hi Don,
Thanks for the update! It has taken more than 6 months to get through the
first 3
daysI sure hope things improve for the next orders! I ordered mine on Jan
11.
I would be interested in knowing how you interfaced yours to the computer, if
you
have done that. I will need to hit

Hi Ed,
I also need the same thing, as I am sure many people do. I need to figure out
a
solution as small as possible, since my KX3 and whatever additional
cables/interfaces/6m preamplifier, etc etc. need to all fit in the outside
pouch of

Won't there be some sort of "TERMINAL" in the KX3 utility that will allow the
KX3 to
be keyed from the computer? I just discovered that was possible for the K3 ;-)

Hi Ed,
Yes, you can use your K3USB cable to gain access to the RTS line, but you would
have
to select the optional KXSER cable (no charge exchange) to mate it to your KX3.
Apparently there is space inside that DB9 connector to mount a small resistor
and
2N to change the HIGH RTS line to

it cost? I can not find it on the order form anywhere...Maybe I just can't

Hello Olli,
The advantage is that I could possibly pull out the RTS line from my one RS232
cable
to the computer, and simply add it to the amplifier PTT plug in ACC2. I would
not
have to build a transistor switch to directly trigger the PTT line, which would
have

Hi Jim,
TNX for your email and comments. Yes, I understand what you are saying and
appreciate that you have had good success running VOX with your QSK-capable
amplifiers.
However, my solid state 6M-1000 amplifier has a little mechanical antenna relay

it, and the last thing I can afford to
Anybody know if the KX3 can be set into XMIT mode via the RTS serial line from
the
computer going into ACC1? I looked in the manual, but I could not find it. I

many people with barefoot rigs or modern QSK amplifiers don't care if they are

One thing that disappointed me is that this very useful cross-mode feature (at
least
on 6m, where I do most of my operating), is available only if you are running
VOX mode.
I am not sure why it has been excluded when you run with a footswitch or
sequencer to
trigger the PTT line. I NEVER run
