Using the K3 isn't exactly in the same league as flying a space
shuttle. This is (or at least used to be) a technical hobby. If the K3
is too complicated for someone to use, he probably needs to find a
new, less complicated hobby. Perhaps basket weaving.

reduced -- 1.28 to 1.72, as opposed to 0.40 to 2.20 when set to 50 Hz
steps. Hope this will be corrected in the final release version.

Agreed. After about 6 minutes of exhaustive testing (hi!) I can hear a
noticeable difference. I still get some volume drop when NR is switched in,
but when I increase AF Gain to compensate the noise level remains low.

I don't believe it's a zero-sum proposition to design an HF receiver that
performs optimally on all bands and modes. Any feature that could possibly
