It will fit. My K3s sits flat with the K-Pod connected.

John,
When my KPA500 hums, I assume it is a power quality problem.
It only hums when a curling iron or coffee maker, both of which are on
different circuits, are in operation.

Just installed the KAT2 in a newly assembled K2. At power levels greater than
8.0 watts, the K2 was displaying the high current warning. The KAT2 power
calibration was calibrated by measuring voltage with the K2's RF probe at the
feed point to a dummy load.
I removed the KAT2 and remeasured the

The green plastic tuning tool is too wide to fit in the slot of the narrow slot
slug-tuned inductors. Is it safe to use a screwdriver on the small slot 1µH
inductors?
Thanks,

Just completed assembly of my K2. The VFO display reads about 1.5KHz high. I've
attempted several times to calibrate it by adjusting C22, but I'm not able to
get the frequency of TP1 on the 30m band any lower than ~14.9154MHz (while the
vfo set to zero beat with a 10MHz signal) without it causin

C135 on my K2 RF board sits 1.1mm higher than the 2d fastener. Is it safe
shaving that much material off the capacitor body, or should I replace it with
a different 103?
I'm one PA transistor away from being able to inspect, test, and align my K2; I
don't want to do anything rash.

Making my way through the Rev I K2 manual, I've reached page 63, Alignment and
Test, Part II. The fourth step, connect the frequency prob to TP3 and select
CAL FCTR, my display reads 439 +/- 2; when selecting BAND- the display reads

I'm having trouble identifying a few capacitors used in the assembly of the K2
RF board.
C72: "271"
C45: NPO "1", black top
C33: 2.2pf "2R2" or "2"
C198: NPO "27" or "272"
What I have:
a blue "010"
a blue "030"
a yellow "270"
a yellow "229"
I suspect the "229" is a 2.2pf capacitor for C33.

I'm planning to build a K2/10 with the following options:
KNB2
KAT2
KAF2
Is there any disadvantage to building the base K2, then adding the options
later?

My KPA500 hums in standby when PWM controlled heating elements on other
circuits are operating. (coffee maker and flat iron, neither of which are mine)
I assume it is a power quality problem, but I have no way to be certain.

The Raspberry Pi line of computers use ARM-based CPUs. I'm not aware of an
emulator that would allow x86 binaries to run on this platform. It is doubtful
that anyone has been able to run the kx2util on this platform. (yet)
