Could be that is what is happening. I know I usually turn on the Astron, the K3 and the KPA500 (but leave the KPA500 in STBY (just out of habit). Usually I am hunting DX, so after I hear a station I want to contact, I usually flip on the KPA500 to OPER and then call, sometimes rather fast. Best I
