Moe,
The 1.5 kHz roofing filter will still be used for very small splits
(typical of a DX station requesting "up 1" or "up 2" in CW mode
pileups). Beyond that the roofing filters are turned off.
I'll post a detailed explanation of the filter bandwidths when I get a
chance.

I read the KX3 filter option has 1,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz filters that give a
choice of 500 or 1,500 Hz filtering in CW and 3,000 Hz in SSB. An explanation
of how that happens would help.
3,000 Hz filtering is not available in CW and 1,500 Hz is not available in SSB,
right?
