Most OS driver software for video includes the settings you want to make. So setting the monitor for the P3 and the driver for the monitor in computer mode is certainly doable. Rick wa6nhc -Original Message- From: Mike K2MK Hi Paul, I can see a potential problem here if the monitor is d

Hi Paul, That's easier to fix. You must have the waterfall colors set to gray scale. Press the P3 menu button and turn the knob until you see Wfall Clr. Then press the knob and turn it to Default Colors. Press the knob again and you should be good to go. 73, Mike K2MK KC2NYU wrote > Tnx for all

To get the best contrast on the waterfall display set the REF LVL so that the noise level is right at the bottom of the spectrum display. And then adjust the SCALE to make the signals higher on the display. The waterfall and spectrum use the same REF LVL and SCALE values, so the more the SCALE

Hi Paul, I can see a potential problem here if the monitor is doing double duty as a 2nd screen for a PC and as the external monitor for the P3. The desired brightness and contrast settings for PC use might be different than those desired for P3 use. Not too much you can do about that except to br

Paul, Your monitor should have brightness and contrast controls. You should use those to adjust the SVGA brightness and contrast, as you would on any TV or monitor. Setting the SVGA bias will only adjust the color saturation of the SVGA waterfall. 73, Tom Amateur Radio Operator N5GE ARRL Lifeti

The backlight brightness of the P3 display can be adjusted with the "LCD Brt" menu entry. On the external display, try playing around with the "SVGA bias" entry in the "SVGA menu" sub-menu. Alan N1AL On 5/19/2013 6:35 PM, paul ecker wrote: Just installed the SVGA card in my P3. But I can't

Just installed the SVGA card in my P3. But I can't figure out how to adjust the brightness of the waterfall trace. I am guessing it is an adjustment in the P3 menu, because the waterfall on both the P3 and SVGA monitor are rather dim. I have not been able to locate any "how to " in the P3 Manual
