That is a *good* review, but I would not say it is the
most favorable review I've read from the league.
It seems about as neutral as I have seen, and much of
the descriptive text has been available for several
months on the reflector or the website.
I know I would not have felt good about a "sapp
Receiver results as expected, great. Disappointed with the transmitter IM,
even at reduced power. My question to Elecraft is: If this had been a
factory assembled unit, would it have passed QC at Elecraft?

I have been using my K3 regularly on pactor since it first arrived back
in November, admittedly on 3,000 Km + paths.
It's true that the timings initially were too slow for short hop amtor
QSO's, This has now been largely resolved in firmware w
Those receive figures shouldn't come as a surprise, myself and our
German colleagues posted similar figures some time ago.
I don't agree with their findings about the K3 being suitable for use on
Amtor. I can get mine to work on the bench to a TS480 but actual side by
side on air comparisons g
I just hope the flood of orders resulting from those numbers in QST
happens AFTER my rig is shipped ;-)
