K7EAR, the Eastern Arizona Amateur Radio Society, Inc. (EAARS), is proud to
announce that the results of the ARRL 2005 Field Day as posted on the ARRL
members only web page shows the following:
K7EAR, as a solar powered, all K-2 entry (except 6 & 2 Meter radio), came
in.

The 2 K2's were the work horses, one stayed on 20CW throughout and the
other was used extensivly on 40CW. The other operators were impressed with
my K2's and I think a couple will be buying soon!

W2GD/N4HY had a very good field day.
Our Elecraft 2A battery QRP was SIXTH OVERALL.
We used IC-703 for the GOTA. That will be another K2 if we do this again.
I took the IC-703 back the day after FD. (Gag me with a spoon). It started
dropping power to zero after an hour of operation. Horri

In 1B in my section SCV, I placed #3 in SCV (scored as 1B1) with my K2.
Wayne N6KR placed #1 in the SCV section (scored as 1B2B) with his KX1 as
"The Ecotopians." They had 3x the points I did!
