Is there a packaged source for the required parts or do I get them from Mouser?
Thanks.

Don,
As always, thank you for that detailed information. I do have a set of
2.04r firmware to install as I go through my A-to-B mod list.
Best regards,

Mike,
Thank you for your compliments.
No, I cannot draw the schematic from memory, but I am quite familiar
with the schematics and manuals for the K2, K1, KX1 and XV series
transverters. I keep printed copies of the schematics handy at my
office computer and the workbench that I have to re-pr

Note that you also will need to have MCU firmware at 2.04. If yours is
lower than that, also order FWK2MCIO.

I'd like to update my K2 (SN 336) with the keying mod to reduce CW
bandwidth. The doc from Elecraft specifies a PIN diode that is obsolete and
no longer available (5082-3081).
I'm not sure what specifications are important to spec a replacement part.
Any suggestions for a suitable replacement, or
Ken,
Yes, it is the proper part. It has 3 holes, but only 2 are used (pad 1
is not used).
Download the latest K2 manual and look on page 60 to see how to install it.

All,
I ordered the part I was told to order as the PIN diode is no longer available
along with the rest of the keying mod kit.
The part I ordered is E120014 BAP64-05
It is a surface mounted part that appears to have 3 connections. Did I order
the wrong surface mount part?

The Elecraft kit for the K2 Keying Waveshape mod is no longer available
because the small PIN diode to be used at RF Board D36 is no longer
available as a leaded component - however an SMD solution is available,
read on if interested.
I do recommend that the mod be installed when the KP

Now that I want to add some power to the K2 so that it could become a full
backup station (instead of just my QRP contesting rig) I find that I may need
to do some additional things to the rig. My K2 (serial # 455) does have most of
the mods in it but one that I didn't do was the keying mo
