Myron,
You are not able to do that, but what you can do is set the KDSP2 FL1
position to LoPass for CW, SSB and RTTY (if applicable) - NR and NT off.
That will cut the high frequency hiss and do nothing else.
If you find you need additional DSP filtering, then hold the AFIL button
to change t
How do I make the DSP bypassed by default when I power up my K2?

Well I changed out firmware in k2dsp. Still have to put it in bypass to hear
any audio. In the manual pg40 dc voltage chart for U1-5 I get 5v instead of 0.
U1-14 I get 0v instead of 5v. I dont have noise blanker or ssb options. But
all otger conditions met. Also D3 C is 5v not 0v called f
I pulled the firmare chip out put back in and it worked till I cycled the
power. Pulled it again but didn't fix it again. Let you know what happens
when I order a new firmware.

So I removed r19 it gives a noisey pop as expected. Dsp works great all the
adjustments make a difference and the audio is there. Now I just need to know
if there is anything that tells the firmware to stay muted or is it just the
firmware? I can get u1 from elecraft for $29. But that won'
John,
Can you get to the CW Filter display (C.1 .60 .80 for example)?
If so, the first number is the center frequency, and the 2nd is the
filter width.
The one with the blinking "." is the one that will be changed by the
BAND+ and BAND- buttons.
Set the center frequency for the highest value

I'm sorry, I didn't make myself clear. What is not saved is the state of the
KDSP at power off (e.g.
which filter has been selected, etc) of course all the configuration parameters
are retained.

My K2DSP does not remember it's settings upon power-down. I can place it in
bypass mode before powering down, but it does not remain in bypass upon
power-up.
The KDSP2 does remember settings. Bypass is the exception. That is
because the DSP is powered down. It doesn't remember you want it
That is right. the KDSP2 has no memory at power down. It is my understanding
that
there is not enough processor memory to store the parameters.

My K2DSP does not remember it's settings upon power-down. I can place it in
bypass mode before powering down, but it does not remain in bypass upon
power-up.
Is this normal?
Thanks.

I just completed the kit & the DSP portion works great, but when I go to the
real time clock, the display shows EE-EE-EE. I checked the voltage of the
battery & insured it was installed correctly. Any ideas?
