HI,
After a bit of button pressing I have noticed the following:
When doing a first tune using the internal ATU the tuning power is a set
5W. Immediately doing an extended tune the tuning power toggles to 10W.
It does indeed flash up in the VFO B window whilst tuning is in progress.
This is
PS When using the tuner in the KPA1500 with the K3, it gets the 10
watts that I have as my default. I've not tested to see if that can be
changed to any other value.
I also attempted an ATU tune on the K3 into a dummy load, it's too fast
for power to be displayed. ;-)

On my K3, (Tech Mode on, just for clarity):
Config | TUN PWR is set at 10.0 watts. If I want it set at another
level, I turn the main VFO knob to set that level.
I just tested that into a dummy load after setting the output per above
to 9 watts and got 9 watts out (since reset to my default
*You can set TUN PWR in the K3 Config Menu to something other than 5
watts.73,DrewAF2Z*
Drew,
Page 60 of K3 Owner's Manual states: "TUN PWR Note 1: *TUN PWR* does not
pertain to *ATU TUNE, *which always uses 5 or 10 W and is internally
controlled"
Does anyone know how to change the 'internal cont
If an ATU tune finishes like that, with --, then it did not find a
match! (and will be in a random state).
You don't have enough power for a successful Tune.
Try running the TX gain calibration with the K3 Utility.
Or, with a dummy load, ATU in BYP, make sure TUN PWR is at "nor", then
set pwr t
First thought, is your ATU is in bypass? Is the "ATU" icon showing
below the 4th digit of VFO A display?

When I tap ATU TUNE, I hear the relays clicking, see no output from the
radio. The op right corner of the screen shows "--"
When I then transit, it appears that the SWR hasn't changed... the tuner
hasn't actually done anything,
Is there a way to troubleshoot this?

Mark,
Do you have the correct antenna (ANT1/ANT2) selected (this is a per band
setting)?
Have you tried it by tuning into a dummy load? If it tunes into a dummy
load, then you will likely find your problem in your antenna system.

Hello everyone ! ,
I have a problem that suddenly happened,
my atu on my k3 does not work more correctly!
we can hear him agree, but it's like she does not find him
as a result, the ROS remains high, regardless of the bands.
Everything else seems to work well
Maybe a manipulation to do reset
Thank
