Julius,
I'm sure you mean an 807. 813s are non-alcoholic.

I'd like to thank Dale, at Elecraft, for helping me work through this
problem. Possibly the steps we went through may help someone who runs into a
similar problem. Items in quotes are my thoughts/explanations. This is a
first time issue for me, and I would consider it quite a rare occurrence

I've done that already Don. I've checked it via CONFIG and the Utility.
The correct filter is selected, all the settings are correct. It was working
fine, then this error popped up.
Apparently the filter is fine, as it works on RX.

Julius,
ERR TXF indicates that the wrong filter is selected for SSB. It must be
the 2.7 or 2.8 kHz filter.
You can check usijng K3 Utility or directly with the K2 menu.

Made a couple SSB QSOs prior to the start of WPX and one QSO in the contest
itself, but now am getting ERR TXF anytime I try to key the rig. Also, not
getting any power out to speak of. the pre contest QSOs were LP, the first
contest QSO QRP.

...On FM and AM when I trigger the VOX I get the "ERR TXF" message.
I have a K3 with 12, 2.7, 500, 200 filters beginning at slot 1.
The FM filter in slot 1 must be set to 13.0.
I am uncertain if AM Tx is supported with any filter other than 6 kHz at
the moment.

Hi-
On SB the rig works correctly. On FM and AM when I trigger the VOX I get the
"ERR TXF" message.
I have a K3 with 12, 2.7, 500, 200 filters beginning at slot 1.
CW, Data, AM and SSB modes are set for "FLTX FL2"; FM is set for "FLTX FL1".
FL1 is set to "ON" for FM; FL2, 3 and 4 are on for ot
Having a senior moment,
I can't transmit. Keep getting an error message."ERR TXF". I corrected this
when I first got the K3. But can't remember what I did.
Thanks

Almost, but not quite. Only the 2.7 or 2.8 filter will work for now as the TX
filter for all modes except for AM, where the 6 kHz filter is used.
