I decided to revamp the operating position to install
the new K3, it sits on a shelf about 6" above the desk
top, I found, due to the light weight that when operating
the push buttons the rig was sliding around, a solution was
found by sitting it on a "grip mat" found over here in any DIY
store o
Best non slip I have found is at Wal Mart in the RV section. Comes in a roll.
It beats common shelf liner which I tried once. Great to put under CW paddles
also.

Great idea, Peter. I've had the same problem with my K2. FYI, a
somewhat thinner (and less expensive) variety of this non-slip
material is also sold as shelf liner, to keep dishes, glasses, etc.
from sliding around on shelves in the kitchen cupboards.

I, too, use the "black stuff from WalMart" to "secure" my 2m rig on the
dashboard. Hasn't budged in nearly 2 years.
