I have used USPS to ship to UK, EU, and AUS on several occasions and it
all went well. Just keep in mind that local postal and/or customs may
hold the item for a few days before even notifying the recipient that it
has arrived.
Some places do not charge the recipient a VAT on Amateur Radio

Hi all -
just wondering if anybody here has had any experience yet with shipping
Elecraft gear to EU / Germany via USPO services ( i.e.Express Mail Internat.)?
Costs seem rather favourable compared to UPS rates...time for me wouldn't be
a major factor.
Thanks for sharing your ideas, 73!

I have queried this in the past for small items. An email to Lisa quickly

IIRC that happens when an inappropriate shipping method is chosen. E.g. USPS
1st class for something that weighs more than 14oz.
Not very "user friendly", but it definitely gets your attention :-)

Hello,
My second K3 have just arrived. Elecraft charged me a USPS cost of US$145
whereas the postal mark only indicated a postage of US$125.
Out of my curiosity, I raised this to Lisa who confirmed that the extra US$20

I have had a large number of private emails regarding delivery costs via
UPS of the K3 to the UK.
My order was sent via UPS at a cost of around £80 using the express option.
I think this is listed as an option on the order page so exact costs
should be calculated from there.
