With my Alinco DX-70TH, I have become used to using the waterfall
spectrum display to zero-beat CW signals. Just spin the tuning knob
until the signal is sitting on the beat frequency, and you're tuned. I
also like to use my ears to get a rough find on PSK and other digital

I don't know how much your soundcard would load down the speaker line (I
would tend to believe not much), but you certainly should not hurt anything,
so give it a try.
If you want a separate audio output line for the soundcard, take a look at

Both are these are very easy with that setup because I get
audio out of the speaker *and* audio into the sound card at the same time.
The K2 cuts off the speaker when I insert the cable into the ext speaker

Hi Cathy,
I take the audio from the K2 headphone jack and feed it directly to the
line-in jack on my sound card. By un-checking the Mute box on the soundcard
control for line-in, I can hear the K2 on the computer speakers. Adjust the
volume with the line-in slider and/or the volume control on
