That may be OK for a 500 ma. wall wart. Unless it is one of the rare
regulated wall warts, the low current voltage will be quite high and when
loaded to half is capability (approximately .25 Amps), the voltage can sag
quite a bit. Remember that there is a protective diode in series insid

That should be OK - 0.06 amps plus a 0.16 amp increase is 0.22 Amps, just
like the manual indicates.
OTOH, I am concerned about the fact that the displayed voltage drops so
much. If you have a 'wimpy' power supply connected that might be expected,
but if your power supply is substantial,

First of all, you voltage is dropping a full volt (unless that was a typo),
and strange readings like that are usually the result of poor solder
connections. Reflow all your solder connections, adding a bit of flux from
new solder to wet the joint. You should be doing the reflow with an
