many, we should probably split then up in more meetings or hours later we
could still be hallway through.

Personally I'm opposed to this. I find pantheon-calculator too basic, I
understand we aim at simplicity, but it's really lacking many basic
features. And while it surely looks better than gnome-calculator as a
standalone app, I don't find it elementarish at all, it's completely
different from every
Just to add something, indicators are also useful to show that an app has

I'm not opposed, "Mail" sound good. On the other hand I find it
inconsistent that we both have general names (like Files, Mail, Terminal,
etc...) and proper names (like Noise, Scratch, etc...). Using generic
names may differentiate default apps from third-part ones.

The week is over. During this time have appeared a couple of bugs, I'm not
sure they're beta-blockers, but I'd like to fix them before beta1. This
means that, while I'd wait to release Slingshot, if every app has fixed
their bugs, Slingshot can be considered ready.

So exec name has a character limit? Is there anything that can be done
about this or should it remain as it was, at least for now?

Just my two cents:
The dock should also have an option to change icons' size, while I don't
think the option to hide the category switcher in Slingshot could be very
useful: you don't gain anything by hiding it.

1. If I wanna start Files with root privileges or Midori in a private

have normal gtk apps use it, like Ubuntu does with the global menu).
