In that sense, the customization data is more closely linked to the actual org-files than than the specific instance of Emacs on a particular system, and therefore it would be logical to have it in a separate file. So why not use one? The problem is to sync your customizations from host to host

Hi Aare In Org-mode, the outline starter is hard-coded to be "*", so you cannot without problems change the outline regexp. What you can to is use outline-mode to edit your file, change the outline regexp for that, and then use tricks like listed here http://orgmode.org/worg/org-faq.p
